Minnesota is putting more money behind EV charging stations. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has opened its third and largest round of National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) funding, making up to $41.18 million available for fast-charging projects across Greater Minnesota.

The funding is structured around an 80% federal contribution, with a 20% investment from each selected grantee. The goal is to continue building a reliable fast-charging network that supports long-distance EV travel around the state.
