If you drive a Ford Mustang Mach-E, Rivian R1T, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Chevy Bolt, or any other J1772 EV, you have probably watched Tesla Wall Connectors sit unused at hotels, offices, and friends' garages while you hunt for a working ChargePoint. The WenStorm NACS to J1772 Adapter solves that. Plug the Tesla-style NACS handle into the adapter, plug the adapter into your J1772 port, and you get full Level 2 AC charging — up to 50 amps on the standard version ($49.99) or 80 amps on the high-output version ($59.99) — from any Tesla AC charger: Wall Connector, Destination Charger, or Mobile Connector (UMC) — plus WenStorm's own NACS portable charger. This is one of the few NACS-to-J1772 adapters on the market that works with all three Tesla charging products, including the portable Mobile Connector most Tesla owners keep in their trunk.

At a glance: 50A or 80A / 240V AC continuous · NACS input to J1772 output · UL 94 V-0 fire-retardant housing · IP55 weatherproof · latching release button · 2-year WenStorm warranty

Key Features

Two Amperage Options: 50A or 80A

Pick the current rating that fits your setup: 50A ($49.99) for the vast majority of home Wall Connector installs, or 80A ($59.99) for maximum thermal headroom and future-proofing. Both are rated for 240V AC continuous.

UL 94 V-0 Fire-Retardant Housing

The shell is molded from UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant thermoplastic, the same fire class used in high-voltage EV supply equipment, to contain heat under fault conditions.

IP55 Weatherproof

Sealed against rain, snow, and dust so you can leave the adapter attached to the handle in an outdoor Wall Connector setup or use it curbside in bad weather.

Secure Latching Release

A spring-loaded latch locks the adapter to the Tesla handle, and the J1772 side engages your car's factory locking pin, so the whole assembly stays put and can't be casually pulled off while charging.

Plug-and-Charge Handshake

Passes the J1772 control pilot cleanly so your EV starts charging on the first try. Follow the 15-30 second connect-then-plug sequence in the instructions to avoid handshake errors on some Tesla firmware versions.

Compact Grip Design

Textured grip shell is short enough to fit awkward J1772 port angles on Rivian, Bolt, and older Leafs where full-size adapters bind against the door.
